Dominic King hears how high-speed trains start running between Sandwich and Deal and London. The service is being subsidised with Β£151,000 from Kent County Council in the hope of making the new enterprise zone, which used to be the Pfizer site, more attractive to potential investors.
Dom hears Kent County Council is "seriously concerned" about its adoption waiting times. An annual report on its adoption service shows children are spending an average of two-and-a-half years in care before being adopted.
Dom talks to comedian Lee Hurst about the new show he is bringing to Kent, which he hopes will be taken up as a new TV programme.
