Mahdy: My journey
Mahdy grew up as an Afghan refugee in Iran and went to a school run by the Mujahedeen. A trained fighter, he exchanged blows with the Taliban when he finally made it back home. Mahdy’s story is brought to life by animations made by 16 to 19-year-olds in the UK.
