The Deepwater Horizon disaster - One year on

At 2150 GMT a year ago today, the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded 50 miles off the coast of Louisiana. The blast killed 11 workers and set in train the biggest oil disaster in American history.

Business Daily has joined forces with the World Service'S science unit to explore the aftermath of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. What have the long term consequences been and what lessons can be learnt from the events of the 20 of April 2010?
