Dom hears how a teenage boy has died while canoeing on the River Medway at Teston Lock near Maidstone. Two boys were in the canoe when it capsized on Sunday morning. One of them couldn't be resuscitated, the other was not injured.
Dom talks to Hastings MP Amber Rudd about the campaign to keep May Day a bank holiday. In March, ministers proposed the holiday would be moved to St George's Day in April in England and St David's Day in March in Wales, or a Trafalgar Day in October. Those campaigning for it to remain on May Day argue moving it would be bad for the local culture and economy in Hastings because the town celebrates its Jack in the Green Festival on the May Day weekend and bank holiday.
Dom catches up with the progress of former motorcycle stunt rider Eddie Kidd along the London Marathon course. He plans to complete the 26.2 miles by walking one mile per day to raise money for Children in Leukaemia. Eddie Kidd was severley disabled by a crash 14 years ago and was told by doctors he would never walk again. Dom talks to Eddie's wife Sami who is accompanying him along the route.
