Grey seals on Bardsey Island
People often struggle to identify our two native species of seal. them but it's relatively straight forward, providing you can get close enough.
Grey seals are much bigger and have a prominent Roman nose. Common or harbour seals however are much prettier and more 'puppy like' in their appearance with joined up nostrils unlike greys whose nostrils are parallel to one another.
