Japan has experienced one of the most powerful earthquakes ever to hit the country. Measuring 8.9 on the Richter magnitude scale, it struck off the north eastern coast of the country. Dominic King talks to Nozomi Uematsu, a PhD student at the University of Sussex from Japan, who has been trying to get through to her friends and family in Tokyo.

While on a ski trip in Italy, a group students from Beacon Community College in Crowborough used their mobile phones to catch hotel staff stealing money from their rooms. Dominic King talks to their teacher Lynn Steward.
