Anthony Horowitz gives out his writing tips
Anthony Horowitz gives his top five tips for writing short stories as Chris Evans kicks off his 500 Words Short Story Competition.
Here are his top tips for writing your short story:
*Write what you want to write about. Don't write what you think is going to win.
*Remember you've only got 500 words - make every one count - including the title.
*Think about what you're going to write before you write it. Spend some time making notes.
*You're in control. If you're writing about your family it's how you want to see them. It's your story, never forget it.
*Enjoy doing it, don't worry about the competition - you should just do the best you can. Have fun!
