Bear swipe
Whilst Gordon explains how close he is to the bears he gets a reminded with a swipe that the bears he’s following are wild animals and are very dangerous when provoked. The lesson here is not to panic but to stay calm and move away slowly. If a bear approaches you it is likely to think you may have food. Gordon uses the hand signal and by showing the bear he has no food the bear loses interest and moves off.
