Tuition Fees - Students from Oxford have been down in London at a national protest against planned tuition fees. They are protesting in Westminster at plans to almost TREBLE tuition fees. They aim to pressurise MPs into not voting through the rise before Christmas.

Expenses - The highest court in the land has ruled that three former Labour MPs - accused of fiddling their expenses - must stand trial. The Supreme Court has dismissed the latest appeal by the trio - David Chaytor, Elliot Morley and Jim Devine - that their cases should be dealt with by Parliament. All deny the charges.

Mercers Money - There has been a setback in attempts to end the dispute between British Airways and its cabin crew, which was triggered by BA cutting
staff on some flights. Leaders of Unite union's BASSA branch - which represents most crew - have said they will not endorse a new peace deal, describing it as "a step too far".

Living Longer - It's a big problem in Oxfordshire, a lack of social care that's forcing hundreds of people to have to stay in hospital for longer than necessary. Now, to help it pay for those patients, the NHS in Oxfordshire has been given three quarters of a million pounds by the Department of Health.

Ear Protection - Musicians from an Abingdon based military band are being ordered to wear earplugs while they're performing - to conform with health and safety laws.
