The Kilkenomics festival

As pressure grows on Ireland to accept a bailout, we report from the Kilkenomics festival of comedy and economics. Plus, are European austerity measures working, or are people's sacrifices wasted?

As pressure grows on Ireland to accept a European bailout, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Nessa Tierney reports from the Kilkenomics festival of comedy and economics in Kilkenny. As one joke goes, the festival has its own ratings agency; it has amalgamated Standard and Poor's with Moody's, to create the very Irish 'Moody and Poor.'

Lesley Curwen asks Yanis Varoufakis, Economics Professor at the University of Athens.

And the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Jennifer Pak reports from Kuala Lumpur on the pioneering social networking site, Friendster, which has been bought by a Malaysian company.
