Propagating box is very easy to do and autumn is the best time of year to do it. Hardwood cuttings have a much higher strike rate than cuttings taken over the summer and they鈥檒l root a lot quicker too. To help speed things along, choose strong healthy shoots up to 15cm (6in) long and root in the warmth indoors.
