Burns Night at Queen's University

We visit a Burns Night in the Great Hall of Queen’s University, put on by the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry.

Organiser, Dr John Kirk explains to Liam Logan that this event has no supper, haggis or speeches - it’s a night to celebrate the poems and songs of Burns.

We hear from Dr Andrew Noble, Professor Emeritus of the University of Strathclyde and senior editor of the Canongate version of Burns who delivers a talk on Burns the Radical. (Broadcast 13 Feb 2005)
