Cowes Powerboat Festival

Record-breaking yachtsman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and powerboat champion Shelley Jory-Leigh from the Cowes Powerboat Festival.

This Friday, The H2O Show is live from the Cowes Powerboat Festival.

Shelley Jory-Leigh and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston talk to designer and powerboat legend Fabio Buzzi, and world powerboat champion Hannes Bohinc ahead of the 50th anniversary Cowes – Torquay – Cowes race.

We hear about Thunderbolt, one of the boats that took part in the original race in 1960 and Shelley talks to this year's youngest competitor Camilla Pascoe.

The powerboat theme continues with a trip on a zap cat, and we board Paddle Steamer Monarch as her future on the Isle of Wight hangs in the balance.

And there is the detailed weekend sailing forecast for all users of the water.

The Solent is famous for its rich maritime heritage and the H2O Show covers all aspects of life on the water - leisure, business and sport. Whether you're a sailing professional or just like watching the boats go by on the Solent, the programme will have something to appeal to you.
