Navy Days 2010 from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Record-breaking yachtsman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and powerboat champion Shelley Jory-Leigh are onboard HMS Victory in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for Navy Days 2010.

Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Shelley Jory-Leigh present the show from onboard the world's most famous warship, HMS Victory in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to mark Navy Days 2010.

Sir Robin talks to one of the senior officers in the Royal Navy Vice Admiral Mathews about the role of the Royal Navy, its future and the importance of Portsmouth in their plans.

For the first time, two of the brand new Type 45 Destroyers will be alongside and open to visitors, Sir Robin takes a tour of HMS Dauntless.

Also this week, as the show is based on HMS Victory, you can hear about the Royal Navy of yesteryear.

Neil Sackley puts BAE System's new P950 RiB through its paces.

Sir Robin has a tot of rum as he revisits a Royal Navy tradition which was scrapped 40 years ago this weekend. And there is the detailed weekend sailing forecast for all users of the water.
