Parking on double yellow lines may soon cease to be a criminal offence in Huntingdonshire. But with the district council due to take over parking warden duties from the police, is it more likely that dodgy parking will be punished?

Extra police are to patrol the lock near the Great Ouse in Eaton Socon. There have been complaints about large groups of youths hanging around drinking, abusing passers by and taking drugs. There are also fears that young people taking a dip in the water may be hurt by the lock's automatic mechanism.
