Rephotography - Queen’s view, Loch Tummel

Dougie Vipond and photographer Colin Prior begin a major Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ campagin to capture man's impact on the Scotland's landscape. The pair visit Queens View over Loch Tummel to re-photograph an image originally taken in 1888.

The Queens View over Loch Tummel is said to be one of the most photographed views in Scotland. This location was Queen Victoria’s favourite, but since those early days this view has changed dramatically. Loch Tummel was dammed as part of the Hydro-Electric Power Scheme in 1950 raising it’s water level by 4.5 meters.
