Kim Seong Min tells Roger Hearing how he risked his life by defecting to South Korea, where he set up Free North Korea Radio to broadcast to his isolated former home.

Ornithologist Omar Fadil is travelling the length and breadth of Iraq to carry out bird surveys for Nature Iraq. He tells us about a recent field trip, when his pursuit of the endangered Sociable Lapwing, complete with military escort, took him into a security hotspot.
