A prairie rattlesnake is taking a slither through prairie dog town on the look out for a burrow to rest in and perhaps even a snack. The prairie dog pups have been resting in their burrow during the heat of the day, but when there are snakes about it's not the best time to take a nap. The alarm calls begin on the surface and most of the young pups make their getaway before it's too late, but any stragglers left in the burrow are in real danger. However the elaborate burrow system means they have more than one way in and out, so it's a cool last minute getaway for the young prairie dog pup.
