Mamba rumble
It's the mating season, and when males meet, they fight. The winner pins the loser's head to the ground and claims his reward, inspecting the female's body with his tongue. If mating is successful, the female will lay up to 17 eggs, usually in an underground nest or hollow tree. The eggs hatch about three months later, in the summer.
