Andy Hayman, Terrorism Investigator
The story of uncovering a plot to bring down aircraft flying from the UK to the US.
Andy Hayman was in his office as the head of specialist operations for Britain's biggest police force back in 2005, when a colleague came in and said: "I think we have a plot to bring down seven aircraft flying from the UK to the US."
From that came Britain's biggest terrorist investigation involving round the clock surveillance, bugging of the gang's base house and decoding of emails and text messages -- ending up with the conviction of three British men earlier this year.
On The Interview Andy Hayman gives Carrie Gracie his inside view of how the terrorist threat is being handled and where the dangers lie today.
