Size matters
A young white bear has found what looks like a good spot to try fishing. He hasn't had to fight off any other bears to get here and it soon becomes clear why that might be. The rocks are slippery and sheer. Hanging precariously on to the rock face, the youngster edges his way across the slippery surface, and manages to reach a good position. The larger bears have had to give this place a miss as it's just too difficult for them to move their bulk in this way. Making the most of his white fur, which makes him harder for the fish to spot, the young bear soon catches his first prize salmon. Then he has to use all his remaining strength to climb back up the slippery rocks so he can eat his salmon in peace.
