With the closure of several private radio stations in Venezuela recently, is President Chavez trying to tighten his grip on the media in his country?

A little over a week ago, more than thirty radio stations in Venezuela fell silent. The Venezuelan Government says their owners had had failed to get their registration papers up to date. Others have condemned the move as an attack on the freedom of expression. Will Grant asks if President Hugo Chavez is trying to close down all non-state media in Venezuela?
