After decades of persecution, the Orthodox Church has enjoyed something of a revival since the collapse of the Soviet Union. But does this mean Russia is now a Christian country?

For much of the twentieth century, Russia was a country where priests faced persecution, and churches were closed. Now, almost two decades after the collapse of Communism, a majority of Russians readily identify themselves as Orthodox Christian. James Rodgers asks whether this means that Russia is now a Christian country, and what that means for its future.
