Sundew glue traps

The hairs on each leaf of a sundew plant are tipped with a sweet, sticky glue which provides and attractive feast for insects. Stuck in the glue, visitors soon become prisoners of the plant. The nutrient poor soils of the bogs force sundews to extract energy in this way and they need to catch up to 2,000 insects in a summer to survive.
