Stickleback courtship

Male three-spined sticklebacks do most of the work when it comes to raising a family. When the nest, which the male has shaped into a tunnel, is prepared, the female is attracted by the male's zig zag dance and his bright red livery. Once she has laid her eggs, the male chases her away and guards the nest until the hatchlings leave his care.
