Episode 4

Izzie and Saf help a grieving family sell inherited items. Furniture steeped in wartime history and jewellery worth a small fortune will hopefully fund a dream wedding dress.

Auctioneer Izzie and restorer Saf are on their way to south Wales to help a grieving family clear out boxes of inherited items, furniture, and jewellery.

Dave and Deb have endured a devastating year. First, Dave's mum passed away after a long illness. Then, just two weeks later, Deb's mum also died unexpectedly. Suddenly, they had to organise two funerals and clear out two homes. The family, in shock, packed up everything from their mothers’ homes and moved it all into their spare bedrooms and shed.

After months of sadness, Dave and Deb are now focused on helping their daughter celebrate her wedding. They want the money raised from selling their late mother’s items to go towards a wedding dress. The pressure is on Saf and Izzie to raise enough cash.

Auctioneer Izzie discovers boxes of porcelain and uncovers a rare bottle of champagne with royal connections. However, Deb is left stunned when Izzie reveals the potential auction value of the inherited jewellery.

Tasked with rescuing tired but sentimental pieces from landfill, Saf saves a vintage bicycle and helps hand-built model aeroplanes find a new home - though his woodworking expertise is put to the test when he restores Deb’s grandfather’s writing bureau. The stakes are raised when he discovers its connection to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Guard and the small but important role this piece of furniture played during the Second World War.
