Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. But can their ghostly interventions transform Scrooge into a better man and make him fall in love with Christmas?

Filmed in Manchester, The Read is an intimate narration of the much-loved short story as the BAFTA-winning actor brings to life Bob Cratchit and his loving family along with party-loving Fezziwig and the well-meaning ghouls.
