Scotland's Christmas ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ of the Year

Anna, Banjo and Danny travel across Scotland to find the best-dressed yuletide homes and score them on festive design, seasonal style and Christmas spirit.

In this festive special, judges Anna Campbell-Jones, Banjo Beale and Danny Campbell travel across Scotland in search of a Christmas cracker of a home. Judging our jolly contenders on distinctive festive design, seasonal style and Christmas spirit, which one will jingle the judges bells?

The five homes in contention include a festive farmhouse in Lesmahagow, a carefully curated Christmas cottage in Fraserburgh and a sparkly self-build in Cumbernauld. In Alloa, a 250-year-old cottage is filled with seasonal cheer both old and new, and a winter wonderland is brought indoors to a Victorian semi in Dalkieth.

Along the way, the judges stop off to take in Christmas sights across Scotland from a Christmas market in Aberdeen to the lights in Edinburgh’s Botanics and one of Glasgow’s best-decorated streets.

From tinsel-clad trees to festooned fireplaces, β€˜tis the season to be jolly decorative and our three wise judges look at every detail of our five festive finalists before deciding which one will take the title of Scotland’s Christmas ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ of Year.

Interior Designer Banjo Beale says, β€˜I'm looking for a Christmas home with all the trimmings: lights, full of decoration, gorgeous full trees and a whole lot of joy - I'm a greedy little Christmas elf!’ Architect Danny Campbell says, β€˜What I'm looking for in a Christmas home is an authentic attempt to conjure that indescribable feeling of festive spirit using all the senses to spark my own childhood joy for Christmas.’ Interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones says, β€˜I'm looking for a cracking Christmas home filled with personal touches, that's cosy and convivial but still kind to the planet.’
