The roadshow travels to Beaumaris Castle on the island of Anglesey, north Wales, where jewellery expert Joanna Hardy is dazzled by a rare ruby and diamond collection worn by a family for generations of weddings. Lisa Lloyd is fascinated by a wooden figurine hidden in a secret cupboard and identifies it as a ceremonial African puppet.
Ben Rogers Jones sees a collection of photographs and ephemera relating to one of Wales’s most important historical figures, former prime minister David Lloyd George. Clive Farahar shares drawings by local artist Charles Tunnicliffe, who lived and worked on the island of Anglesey.
Hilary Kay discovers an oar rollock claimed to be from one of the Titanic’s lifeboats, and Wayne Colquhoun pulls over a red-hot set of wheels in the form of a mid-century scooter rescued from the rubbish.
