Oswestry 29
Today’s teams hope to be dressed for success as they shop for antiques with experts Danny Sebastian and Colin Young in Oswestry.
Roo Irvine discovers an extraordinary collection of miniature outfits that traces the changes in fashion over the last 1,000 years. At the Grosvenor Museum in Chester, Roo meets former designer Lisa Jayne Smith, who has dressed more than 100 dolls in elaborate period costumes.
At the fair in Oswestry, the teams are hoping they’re dressed for success. In red are friends Lauren and Pablo, guided by Danny Sebastian. They’re up against married couple Winston and Avaly on the blue team, skippered by Colin Young. With an hour on the clock, they race around the stalls in search of three bargains. Pablo spots a military horn but isn’t prepared to blow their budget on it. Meanwhile, the blues prove to have expensive tastes when they encounter a wooden chest and a Windsor chair with hefty price tags. Hopefully hammering out profits for both teams is auctioneer Matthew Tong.
