Farmers in Scotland give a cautious welcome to the increase in the agriculture budget.
Farmers in Scotland have given a cautious welcome to the increase in the agriculture budget to Β£660 million. It's up from Β£620 million but falls short of the Β£776 million that the National Farmers' Union Scotland had wanted.
MPs have voted in support of the Government's change to inheritance tax on farms. In an opposition debate yesterday the Conservatives proposed the tax be scrapped, but the motion was defeated.
