A council in Ceredigion is under fire for a lack of festive cheer. Businesses in Cardigan are upset that a metal Christmas tree filled with bin bags has become their yuletide centrepiece. So what are the decorations like in your town? Are the baubles beautiful? Or is the tinsel just terrible? And should councils have to foot the bill for our Merry Christmas?

Friends of the Earth are appointing postcode gardeners across Wales to brighten up some abandoned areas, and to foster a community spirit. Do you have a neglected piece of land near you? Have you done something to improve it?
