Music, chat and Saint Etienne's Sarah Cracknell
Mark Radcliffe presents a feast of great music, and Saint Etienne's Sarah Cracknell shares her 'First, Last and Everything' and talks about the band's new album.
Mark Radcliffe presents solo, with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.
Today he is joined by singer and songwriter Sarah Cracknell. Well-known as the lead-singer of electro-indie-pop band Saint Etienne, Sarah and her bandmates Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs have had a string of hit albums and singles since their debut album 'Foxbase Alpha' in 1991. Their forthcoming new release 'The Night' will be the band's twelfth studio album. Sarah shares her ‘First, Last and Everything’ - that’s her first record, the most recent one she's enjoyed and the record that means ‘everything’ to her - and chats to Mark about Saint Etienne's new music.
Also on the show... long-running feature ‘The Chain’ which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.
With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started.
