Rio Ferdinand is the Rewind Selector!

Legendary football player Rio Ferdinand chooses the tracks that take him back to the dance floors of his youth in 'Rewind Selector'.

Rio Ferdinand, the legendary football player turned TV pundit, chooses the tracks that take him back as he shares his early clubbing tales in 'Rewind Selector'. The celebrated centre-back played 81 times for the England national team between 1997 and 2011, and was a member of three World Cup squads. In 2022, the former West Ham, Leeds United, Manchester United and QPR star, who many regard as being one of England's greatest ever defenders, was honoured with an OBE in recognition of his illustrious football career, in which he won six Premier League titles, a Champions League and two League Cups. He was also given his gong for services to charity. Through the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, which aims to help youngsters from working-class areas tackle racism and inequality, Rio has provided opportunities for many young people, helping them to realise their potential. In March 2017, Rio discussed strategies for coping with bereavement after the death of his wife Rebecca in the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ One documentary 'Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad', winning the award for best Single Documentary at the 2018 BAFTAs.
