Anna Massie with the very best of folk and roots music from Scotland and beyond, including a dive into the musical history of the Scotia Bar, Glasgow's oldest pub.

Some weeks ago on our Halloween special, Anna went on a ghost tour of the Scotia Bar - Glasgow's oldest pub - and learned about all the paranormal activity that has taken place there over the years. This time, Anna returns to the Scotia – on less spooky business thankfully – to hear about the pub's incredible history of folk music and oral tradition. In the 60s and 70s, you could've rubbed glasses in the Scotia with such folky legends as Robin Hall & Jimmie MacGregor, Hamish Imlach, The Dubliners, The Humblebums, Danny Kyle, Christy Moore and many more.

Anna meets Scotia bar regular, singer Alan Meikle, for a pint and a blether about the pub’s colourful musical past.
