DJ, presenter, curator and label boss Tash LC brings a set full of global club sounds and banging beats as our first Pioneer of this special evening.

For one night only, the 2024 Annie Nightingale Pioneers are taking over Radio 1 & Radio 1 Dance, to showcase their sound.

Annie Nightingale Pioneers is an initiative, continued in the late broadcaster's memory, that aims to champion up-and-coming women and non-binary DJs and producers, who are making waves in the dance music scene.

Tash LC is one of this year's brilliant recipients, alongside re:ni and Tatyana Jane.

With the backing of some of dance music鈥檚 most influential institutions and an effortless ability to command a dance floor, Tash has quickly become one of the UK鈥檚 most exciting and versatile talents. She's a London-based artist with a passion for underground music from around the world. So prepare to be drawn in with a balance of textured afro-jazz and highlife fusions with meetings of Kuduro, Gqom, and other eclectic club rhythms from the Afrodisapora.
