Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical favourites by French composers across the centuries - Charpentier's majestic Prelude to Te Deum, a strutting cakewalk by Debussy, Lili Boulanger's strident setting of Psalm 24 - "The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof" and Ravel's evocation of a pavane that a little princess might have danced at the Spanish court in years gone by. These are followed by the "MΓ©ditation" from Massenet's opera ThaΓ―s arranged for flute and harp, the slow movement from Poulenc's rustic Concert champΓͺtre and the sublime duet from Bizet's The Pearl Fishers. A French affair to cherish!
