Music photographers Jill Furmanovsky and Sheila Rock, The Tenementals

Len Pennie talks to photographers Sheila Rock and Jill Furmanovsky, who have photographed the world’s most famous music stars over the last 50 years.

Music photographers Jill Furmanovsky and Sheila Rock will be featured in a two-part exhibition at Streetlevel Photoworks in Glasgow from Saturday. Called Rebels and Renegades it features their striking images of some of the world’s most famous music stars of the last 50 years, including Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, The Clash, Pink Floyd and many more.

And she's joined by Professor David Archibald, frontman of The Tenementals, a Glasgow-based collective of academics, musicians, and artists who have just released their debut album, Glasgow: A History. It explores the intriguing idea of what the history of the city would sound like.
