The battle between Robin鈥檚 group and the head-cracker dolls comes to an end when the toys transform back into humans from Sugar being knocked unconscious. As Doflamingo鈥檚 executive officers and the warriors from the colosseum continue their battles, Luffy and Law confront Doflamingo at the palace. Doflamingo tries to make Luffy attack Bellamy, but Luffy refuses, saying that the past is behind them and that they are now friends. Then Doflamingo uses his power to control Bellamy and manufacturers a clone to attack Luffy and Law. Luffy ignores Law鈥檚 warning to stay calm and claims that he is going to blast away Doflamingo now. He starts charging at Law, seemingly to attack him, but Law uses his power to switch places with Doflamingo at the last second. Taken by surprise, Doflamingo takes Luffy鈥檚 punch directly in the stomach.
