Carrie MacNeil introduces the bands competing at Grade 1 in the World Pipe Band Championships, better known as The Worlds. The show features the finest pipers and drummers from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canada and America.
In total 14 pipe bands competed across the 2-day event on Glasgow Green. The programme features selected performances from the climactic second day.
Inveraray and District took home the title this year under the direction of Pipe Major Stuart Liddell MBE and Lead Drummer, Steven McWhirter. This was the third time Inveraray have taken home the most prestigious pipe band title.
Also featured in the programme are performances from Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia, St. Laurence O’ Toole and the 78th Fraser Highlanders.
