Blakeney Point - Bass and Sea Trout

Paul, Bob and Ted face the elements head on as they fish on the beach at Blakeney Point, taking refuge in Bear’s Cottage for the night to dry out.

Paul, Bob and trusty terrier Ted travel to Blakeney Point in North Norfolk for a sea-fishing adventure.

Blakeney Point is a four-mile spit of shingle and sand beach bank, with the North Sea on one side and the Glaven Estuary on the other. It is a nature reserve and an important nesting ground for terns and gulls. There is also the chance they may spot a seal in the sea.

After a day of mixed fortunes, they take a boat back to the car and head to their accommodation for the evening: Bear’s Cottage, which was built in 1856 and is surrounded by 200 acres of trees, including giant redwoods and noble firs.
