Northern Irish Heat: Belfast
Five hopefuls in Belfast battle it out to book their place in Birmingham for the grand final showdown, where one comic will be crowned the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ New Comedian of 2024.
The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s big comedy talent search heads to Northern Ireland and the capital, Belfast, where five hopefuls will battle it out to book their place in Birmingham for the grand final showdown.
This show comes from the MAC, an award-winning venue in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, which is home to all kinds of theatre performances, comedy and music gigs. Since opening in 2012, the MAC has become a beacon for the ongoing regeneration of Belfast.
Comedian, author and the creator of online sensation Mammy Banter, Serena Terry, is our host. Joining her is comedian and former New Comedy Awards alumnus Vittorio Angelone, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ head of development for comedy commissioning Roya Eslami, and the head honcho, Babatunde Aleshe.
The judges will have their work cut out picking a winner from the five comics. Ciaran Franco, Adam Perrott, Marty Gleeson, Bert Broadbent and Mark Moloney all take to the stage with sets that are jam-packed with fresh material and jokes a plenty.
