Later, Luffy learns from Nyon that Hancock is a Shichibukai and that the Marines are launching an all-out offensive on Whitebeard. He also learns of Ace’s imminent execution at Marineford and starts thinking of a way to get there to save him. Nyon suggests that Hancock can sneak Luffy onboard a Marine vessel by complying with the summons. When Nyon and Luffy arrive at Kuja Palace to ask for her favor, they are informed that the empress has caught an unknown disease and is lying ill in bed.
