Episode 8
Sophie faces her first solo shift, Saskia takes charge when a car flips off the road and Christian must stay cool, calm and collected during a conflict that gets personal.
It’s a big day for mum-of-four Sophie. After three months working under the guidance of her tutor, she has been signed off as an independent officer and now faces her first shift going solo. It’s not long before she is called on to help with the planned arrest of two prolific shoplifters.
Over at Pontypool Station, it’s almost time for Saskia to go it alone. Today is her last shift with her tutor Steve, but first she has to take the wheel of their police car for the first time.
Ex-law student Christian needs more experience dealing with violent and aggressive situations. He faces his toughest challenge yet when a heavily intoxicated man becomes aggressive and racially abusive towards him. Christian deals with the situation admirably, but when crunch time comes, has he done enough to be signed off for independent patrol?
