Episode 6

Banjo and his team are in South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, turning an unloved empty garage into a fully functioning shop for crofters DJ and Lindsay.

Banjo and his team are on South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. They’ve been called in to help crofters DJ and Lindsay, whose family have lived and worked the land there for generations.

The couple want to turn their garage into a shop to sell their produce from. The dull breezeblock building has no character or charm, so Banjo has to work from scratch to transform this empty space. He searches for salvage around the island and from DJ’s crofter mum, and he decides to clad the walls in disused corrugated iron panels he finds around the island.

But with a budget of only Β£4,000, will he pull off his homestead kitchen design vision?
