Turning the Tide

Episode 18 of 20

Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan cross from Kent into Suffolk to tour antiques shops in Appledore, Woodbridge and beyond in their sporty 1971 Sunbeam Rapier.

It’s the third leg of an increasingly jolly road trip with Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan.

They each have Β£200 per leg to splash on antiques and antiquities, with the aim of making profit for Children in Need when they sell them at auction.

Irita and Ishy are crossing into Suffolk from Kent in their sporty 1971 Sunbeam Rapier. Starting in Manningtree and spending their way to Marlesford, they collect treasures and trinkets in Copdock and Sproughton too, before heading off to sell their finds in Lichfield.

When Irita unearths a colourful, vintage metal artist's palette, Ishy is inspired, and they both bring home a fair bit more metal in the form of an Arabic coffee pot, a brass bowl and a copper plaque. The latter may be the highly sought-after Newlyn copper!

Ishy explores one of the last remaining tidal mills still making flour in a traditional way before they both chomp down on some local cake for sustenance.

Who will be crowned auction champ at the end of this adventure?
