Alice Munro鈥檚 short stories, often set in small town Canada, weave together fiction and autobiography to explore the complexities of human life. The author, who died in May, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013.

In 鈥溌槎乖寂拟��, a woman sets out on the long bus ride into rural Canada to visit her elderly father and lively stepmother on the farm where she grew up.
