Gardening Tips and Making the Most of the Remaining Summer

Gardening tips, looking forward to The Worlds and making the most of the remaining summer.

Helen Mark presents Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show. This week the team decide to try and make the most of the summer’s remainder, despite the reliably disappointing weather! They’ve an extensive guide to Ulster-Scots themed events happening around the province and Rab takes a moment to review the piping season and look forward to The World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow. Meanwhile, Willie learns about Antrim born writer Alexander Irvine before heading to a garden centre in Ballymena to get tips for his granddaughter, who’s taken to growing strawberries!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
