In Grand Jipangu, there is a mochimaki (rice-cake throwing) festival every New Year's holiday at the castle. Whoever finds the lucky rice cake gets to keep the gem inside it, worth 10 million ryo berries. On their way to delivering the rice cakes to the castle, Nami, Sanji, and Dr. Aohana are intercepted by Buggy, who conspires to rob the treasure before the festival. They manage to get past them on the bridge but are caught by Hachi and Gedatsu near the castle. Chief Luffy comes to the rescue, and Nami safely hands over the rice cakes to Igaram from the castle. Still desperate to get the lucky rice cake for himself, Buggy starts firing cannonballs into the castle and finds out that Shogun Cobra has the lucky rice cake. Buggy tries to make him give it up, but to no avail. He is finally blown away by Luffy, who is anxious for the rice-cake throwing to start. When the festival begins and the rice cakes are thrown to the people waiting on the ground, Cobra throws the lucky rice cake from the castle tower. Zolo finds it, but throws it away after seeing that he can't eat it.
