While fighting Jabura and Kaku, Sogeking accidentally links himself and Zolo with a pair of Kairoseki handcuffs. Kaku and Jabura refuse to cooperate with each other to fight their connected enemies, and offer to unlock the handcuffs if the number on it matches the number of the key that either one of them has. Unfortunately it doesn't, and when Chopper shows up, Zolo and Sogeking tell him to go find the right key and to bring it to them. After that, Chopper runs into Nami and helps her escape from Kumadori's attack. Nami has stolen Kumadori's key without him noticing, but it is also not the key to unlock Sogeking and Zolo's handcuffs. Meanwhile, Luffy gets on a boat to cross the sea to get the Gate of Justice but drowns.
